14.9.2024 – Centre Wallonie Bruxelles in Paris

A grand piano, Han-Gyeol’s hands sitting on it, Alex & Alix pouring juices into passed on glasses. In a twirling motion they give away gestures, notes, in tender rushes as a cocktail is being dressed. Looking for signs in the hands of guests, they guess dances and splash through the night.

Tuxedo No. 2, not a coda

Your glass has eaten possession, imprinting, sliding shards & words under the skin, republishing there

You, a new acquaintance, a warm haunting

Waste rests -bare taste- verbing its way through a participle present, a present in which we cannot  not participate

Committing ourselves/myself to haunt, this which/witch truly, unruly, bullies

Not delivered from a past tense that doesn’t tell your story, the wrinkles on Charlotte’s graveyard, mossy parterres, are saying good bye to language. While I sit on the graveyard, in yards bought in advance -a liberal agreement, even in death one owns land- in the underland, the undergrowth, nourishment disturbed and wounded by continuous extraction- i wish to leave no trace: “too late, you broke my heart” says the tree  under which I sit.
